How long does an IPO normally take?
Your shares, your decisions, your timeline.
- Preparation. Books, restated financial information, capital records, governance and key numbers. The longest and most variable stage.
- Offer document and due diligence. The draft is prepared and every statement checked against documents.
- Review. The draft is open for public comments for at least 21 days, and queries are answered before approval.
- Issue and listing. The issue is open for at least three working days, and shares list within three working days of closing.
How long the review takes depends on the queries raised, and is outside the company's control. The time you can save is before filing.
